About ODM

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Orascom Development Holdings (ODH), Orascom Development and Management (ODM) was established to offer development capabilities to land owners, in return for a substantial stake in the proceeds of real estate sales and will be an additional tool to unleash value in the real estate industry in the region.

Over a short period, ODM has partnered with the most prominent investors to develop three residential and touristic real estate projects inside Egypt, with multiple properties currently under development, including five-star hotels, shopping malls, commercial areas and administrative offices.
ODM is extending its inherited expertise from ODH in creating master-planned communities to international markets. Ultimately, partnering with ODM gives access to ODH’s enormous pool of expertise.

So far our portfolio of projects requires from ODM to start the project from scratch; beginning with master planning to facility management in some cases. We act, not only as developing masters but also as professional consultants in all aspects related to real estate development, commercial and building living communities.

 
About the Group

ODM is a wholly owned subsidiary of ODH that was found by Egyptian businessman Eng. Samih Sawiris In 1989 and became one of the leading Real Estate Developers in the Middle East, with a proven track record of over 18 years of experience and sustainable development. Our Group is a master developer which focuses on fully integrated communities’ development, offering hotels, private villas and apartments, leisure facilities such as golf courses and marinas along with all related facilities and supporting infrastructure. The Group secured and is in the process of securing large tracts of land in untapped yet attractive locations with significant potential. We have an attractive pipeline of projects under development in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Switzerland, Montenegro, United Kingdom, Romania and U.A.E.

Orascom Development operates three fully fledged towns, El Gouna, Taba Heights and The Cove, offering 21 hotels with more than 5,000 rooms control a land bank of approximately 127 million sqm and have a workforce of approximately 18,000 employees. With the initiation of the Andermatt Alpine project in Switzerland, Orascom Development has expanded its operations outside the Middle East into Central Europe. To support this international expansion and to create an attractive basis for further growth, the Group’s headquarters were moved to Switzerland in March 2008. Both, the stock market listing in Switzerland and the new holding structure is expected to yield significant benefits from an operational and financial perspective and will provide better access to capital markets and enhance credibility.
